1935-1994 (Mahwah HS photo)
Born in Tientsin, China, Helen lived in China, Mauritius, Hong Kong and
England before coming to the United States to finish high school and to
start college at the University of California, Berkeley. She finally finished
her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in psychology, her real
love. After receiving an MA in counseling in 1970 at Penn State, she worked
as a guidance counselor first at Bellefont HS, PA followed by a long tenure
to the time of her death at Mahwah HS, NJ. Helen has two surviving brothers:
Hsin Chuen in Orange, CA and Hsin Kuo now living in Hawaii. Finally, our son Stanley lives in Pasadena, CA and works for United States Geological Survey in conjunction with the earthquake program. He can explain better than I the important work he does, and I think that you will enjoy visiting his personal web page.
