Walking through Plaza de España on San Isidro Day, 2000, we stopped to see the flowers and the statuary. Don Quijote (left on horseback) and Sancho Panza (right on donkeyback) are being watched over from above by Miguel de Cervantes (white figure seated above).
Paul is the quixotic figure in the foreground in the red shirt trying to blend with the flowers. The tall building seen on the left is Torre de Madrid where many of the airlines have their offices.
